On October 15, a day prior to GITEX GLOBAL, one of the world's largest tech expos in the UAE, our team gathered Wialon partners from the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and other regions for Telematics Dubai, Wialon's traditional partner event. It was a day filled with connections, insights, and a touch of delightful surprises. Let's dive into the highlights that made this occasion truly exceptional.
This year, Telematics Dubai attracted telematics service providers and leading GPS hardware manufacturers from 32 countries, spanning from east to west and north to south, including India, Côte d'Ivoire, the Netherlands, Kazakhstan, and many others. The atmosphere was charged with excitement and inspiration as attendees engaged in relaxed conversations, explored new business opportunities, shared expertise, and discussed the latest trends in telematics and IoT in the region and beyond.
Vibing and networking at Telematics Dubai 2023
Telematics Dubai 2023 started with a captivating magic show, setting the tone for the event.

The performance seamlessly transitioned to the main part of the event. Aliaksandr Kuushynau, Head of Wialon, delivered an inspiring opening speech, welcoming the participants of Telematics Dubai 2023 and sharing a few words about magic as well.
He explained that we didn't showcase magic tricks without reason. Just as these illusions may appear amusing to us, our technologies often appear extraordinary to our clients. Before the adoption of telematics solutions, fleet managers work as if blindfolded, lacking access to information about their vehicles. Together with our partners we help businesses save money, streamline their operations, and make the seemingly impossible, possible. Just like a skilled magician, we bring solutions that seem almost like wizardry but are grounded in the solid foundations of technology and innovation.

After the opening remarks, Anna Anistratova, Head of Partner Success Team at Wialon, provided the latest updates on Wialon and shared regional news.
In 2023, Wialon's growth has been nothing short of remarkable. The Middle East has already witnessed a 12% increase compared to 2022, with over 220,000 vehicles tracked by the system. Meanwhile, Africa celebrated an even more impressive 22% growth, totaling over 200,000 tracked vehicles.
This success story resonates globally, with figures from APAC, Europe, Central Asia, North America, and South America illustrating the growing demand for Wialon as the go-to fleet management software.

The event provided an excellent opportunity to applaud once again the leaders of the GPS Hardware Manufacturers TOP 10 and regional Wialon Top Partners rankings. Telematics and IoT are rapidly becoming lifelines for businesses of all sizes across the Middle East and Africa, and Wialon partners are leading the way by delivering projects that address local fleet management challenges.

At Telematics Dubai 2023, we placed a strong emphasis on networking. To enhance the experience, we introduced a dedicated app that allowed guests to connect, schedule meetings, and even use it as a digital business card. Needless to say, the venue buzzed with lively conversations!
Networking in action!
As a unique keepsake from the event, 10 lucky guests received a rubber duck. Yes, you read it right! A blue rubber duck. While it may seem peculiar, the souvenir carries a deeper meaning. It was inspired by the rubber duck debugging method in software development, where programmers explain a complex problem to a rubber duck like a fellow developer. The act of articulating the problem step by step often sparks new insights and creative solutions. This little duck serves as a reminder that conversations are the key to breakthroughs. Aliaksandr Kuushynau, Head of Wialon, explained the significance behind this unconventional gift.

“Just as programmers find clarity through conversations with their rubber ducks, we, partners and peers in the telematics industry, can discover innovative solutions and open up new opportunities through communication. Our rubber duck souvenirs symbolize Wialon's dedication to fostering this atmosphere of collaboration, transparency and problem-solving, where sharing experiences and knowledge leads to remarkable results.”
