This summer, Mexico City once again became the heart of Wialon’s Latin American community. In just one week, we welcomed over 200 partners for a vibrant community reunion and joined forces with 11 co-exhibitors at Expo Seguridad.

Here’s a quick recap of the highlights — perfect for spotting familiar faces in the photos if you were there, or catching up on what you missed if you couldn’t join us in Mexico City. See you next time?

But first, let’s zoom out for a moment and talk about why Mexico is such a hot spot for fleet telematics.

Wialon in Mexico and Latin America: A growing force

The fleet management market across Latin America is shifting into high gear. As of late 2024, around 8.3 million commercial vehicles in the region were connected to fleet management systems, and that number is expected to double by 2029. The market remains highly fragmented, with plenty of room for innovation, better service, and scalable solutions.

And Mexico? It’s one of the countries driving this regional growth. About 1.9 million vehicles are already connected — but the potential is far greater. That leaves a wide-open opportunity for service providers with the right mix of technology, reliability, and local expertise.

Wialon isn’t just observing this transformation — we’re leading it. According to Berg Insight, Wialon is the #1 fleet management solution in Latin America based on the number of connected vehicles. With 440,000+ of those in Mexico, Wialon holds 23,2% of the national fleet management market, making our solution the leading fleet digitalization platform in the country.

The numbers set the scene — now, let’s see what it all looked like on the ground with the Wialon partners in Mexico.

Our сommunity reunion in Mexico City 2025: How many familiar faces can you spot?

We counted so you don’t have to: more than 200 partners from across Latin America came together for a day packed with presentations, discussions, and networking.

The gathering in Mexico City was all about meaningful conversations — and we had plenty. After a warm welcome and a presentation on Wialon’s progress across Mexico and Latin America, we dove into a panel discussion on how Wialon APIs are helping partners unlock business growth. Later in the day, our special guest, Saúl López from CREATIVESOFT, gave an inspiring talk on how AI is transforming telematics from reactive monitoring to predictive operations. There were a couple of networking breaks throughout the event, and in the evening, we gathered for a cocktail reception, where the conversations continued over good food and drinks, and in great company.

One especially memorable moment? We recognized Ares Sun for connecting Wialon’s 4.2 millionth vehicle — a major milestone for the global Wialon community. Jorge Valladares, General Manager of Ares Sun, traveled from Honduras to accept the award in person, surrounded by partners who helped make that moment possible.

What the energy was like at our fleet management hub

For the Wialon team, the expo was another opportunity to reconnect with our community and meet potential partners, but also to gain a close-up view of how the Mexican fleet management market is evolving — and the short answer is fast.

“Key industries such as freight transport, urban logistics, tourism, and last-mile delivery came up in almost every conversation at Expo Seguridad. It’s no surprise — Mexico’s geographic location, growing e-commerce sector, and strong industrial base are naturally driving telematics adoption.

What stood out to me most is how fast the Mexican telematics market is changing. Regulations, security concerns, and the ongoing demand for operational efficiency are shaping the ecosystem.”

Again and again, we heard the same top priorities: security, compliance, and operational control. These are exactly the challenges Wialon was built to address — by helping our partners deliver integrated, high-impact solutions for their clients that improve safety, ensure compliance, and cut expenses.

Mexico City, thank you
