This September, Wialon made its debut at IAA Transportation 2026 in Hanover, Germany. The expo brought together more than 140,000 visitors and over 1,500 exhibitors from 46 countries. Throughout the week, we demonstrated Wialon solutions, explored new technologies, and spoke with partners, fleet operators, and other industry professionals about fleet digitalization, from everyday operational challenges to new project ideas.
So, how did our first IAA Transportation go? There was plenty to bring home — from conversations about European fleet technology to an AI agent configuring more than 30 sensors almost instantly. And, of course, an evening celebrating our partners.
Inside the Wialon booth
Our booth gave visitors a chance to see Wialon solutions in action.
Visitors could get a closer look at Wialon Hosting, our flagship solution for comprehensive fleet digitalization. We demonstrated how it works across a wide range of fleet projects, supporting different operational tasks and requirements. We also showcased Wialon Lite, a streamlined solution for fleets looking for straightforward tools to manage their daily tracking tasks.
But the main highlight was Wialon Platform, a solution builder for creating branded applications for everyday fleet management and more specialized use cases.
Think of a local car rental company in Poland, a delivery fleet in Spain, or a trucking company in the Netherlands. Their vehicles, daily routines, and reporting requirements differ. So do their budgets and the level of fleet digitalization they are ready for.
The rulebook varies, too. In Germany, privacy guidance places limits on dashcam recording. Other requirements cross borders: EU driving and rest-time rules limit driving hours and specify when drivers must take breaks and rest.
Wialon Platform gives solution providers the flexibility to build their own offers for different fleets. They can choose and configure functionality, customize the interface, and apply their own branding. They also decide how to package and price their services, keeping control of the customer experience and the commercial relationship. For projects involving driving hours, vehicle inspections, or personal use of company vehicles, they can draw on dedicated tools for tachograph control, digital vehicle forms, and private-use management.
At IAA Transportation, visitors could see how far Wialon Platform has come since its launch in September 2025, with more tools for everyday fleet operations and specialized projects. Indoor asset tracking took the demos beyond vehicles: into hospitals, factories, and airports, where finding the right piece of equipment can be an everyday challenge.
A hands-on look at an AI agent for Wialon
AI came up in conversations across the expo, and we had our own developments to show. Visitors could see how the Wialon plugin for ChatGPT lets users ask questions about their fleet in plain language, from vehicle status and trips to fuel activity, and get answers without opening a dashboard or building a report.
We also demonstrated something newer: an AI agent that can help service providers configure fleet solutions and carry out technical tasks. Powered by flespi, it can connect to Wialon Hosting, Wialon Local, and Wialon Platform.
Take sensor configuration. Depending on the device and the fleet’s requirements, a technical specialist may need to create dozens of sensors, configure their parameters, and set up reports using their data. Sound familiar? During our demonstrations, the agent created more than 30 sensors for a Teltonika device and included their data in reports almost instantly.
Or take geofences for Berlin districts. Drawing each area manually could keep you busy for a while. In our demo, the user described the task, and the agent did the configuration in just a few minutes.
Curious what the AI agent could do in your Wialon account?
Give it a task. To try it out, create a flespi account and connect the relevant Wialon product. The guides for Wialon Hosting, Wialon Platform, and Wialon Local walk through the setup. Free flespi accounts include a limited monthly AI allowance, so there’s room to experiment.
We also discussed other tasks it could handle: setting up accounts, copying configurations, investigating possible fuel drains, preparing recurring reports, building dashboards, scheduling notifications, or finding ways to make better use of existing device capabilities.

For solution providers, repeating routine tasks across projects can take up a sizable part of the working day. Handing over even some of that work could leave their teams more time to work with customers, resolve tricky issues, and get the next project moving.
Beyond the expo floor: Wialon partner dinner
There was room for a celebration in Hanover, too. Wialon partners and our team gathered at a restaurant in the city’s historic district for an evening of conversation, a little friendly competition, and some well-earned recognition.
There was still some technology on the menu: presentations on indoor asset tracking and the AI agent for Wialon. Kahoot turned the questions back on the guests: how well did they know Wialon? Then it was time to congratulate our Wialon Top Partners 2026 and present their awards in person.
Our annual ranking recognizes the companies that connected the highest number of vehicles to Wialon in each region during the previous calendar year. In Hanover, we presented awards to Overseer from Ukraine and Almaks from Serbia, which took 1st and 7th places respectively in the European ranking. Tourex Corporate from Côte d’Ivoire also joined the celebration and received its award for 4th place in the African ranking.
It was good to have everyone around the table, with time to catch up, celebrate our partners’ achievements, and enjoy an evening together.
Until next time, Hanover
We left Hanover with plenty to take home: conversations about what fleets expect from digitalization, new ideas for putting Wialon tools to work, and time spent with the people who turn those ideas into projects.
And since no event recap is complete without a few numbers, here’s our slightly less serious take:
Thanks to everyone who stopped by our booth, shared their perspective, challenged us with questions, or joined us for the partner dinner.
We’re already getting ready for our next trip to Dubai for GITEX GLOBAL and the Wialon community reunion. If Dubai is on your calendar too, we’d love to catch up there!
Meanwhile, whether you’d like to explore Wialon Platform, try the AI agent, or discuss what else Wialon could offer your business, let’s talk. Wialon partners can reach us at partners@wialon.com. If you haven’t joined us yet, write to sales@wialon.com.
