Can Wialon track people or provide indoor navigation?
No. Wialon indoor asset tracking is designed for physical equipment, not people. It is not an indoor positioning system for staff or visitors and does not provide turn-by-turn indoor navigation.
What hardware does Wialon indoor tracking support?
The solution currently works with supported Teltonika hardware using Wirepas Mesh: tags, anchors, and gateways. Together, these devices create the local network that passes indoor location data to Wialon Platform.
How does indoor asset tracking work without GPS?
GPS is not required inside the facility. Tags communicate with nearby anchors through Wirepas Mesh, and Wialon uses the nearest detected anchor to show the building, floor, and zone where an asset was last seen.
Is Wialon an RTLS asset tracking system?
Wialon belongs to the RTLS asset tracking category, but it is designed for practical room- and zone-level visibility. It helps teams narrow down where to look rather than reconstructing every movement or displaying pinpoint coordinates.
How accurate is Wialon indoor position tracking?
Wialon is designed to tell teams which room or zone to check, not to show an exact point on the floor plan. This level of indoor position tracking can reduce a facility-wide search to a much smaller, more useful area.
