Updates: what’s new in Wialon in September 2024

We’re excited to share the key system improvements released in September 2024. Let’s jump right into the details!

Integration with Fleetio

For those unfamiliar with Fleetio, it is a popular software for fleet maintenance management, focusing primarily on maintenance planning and tracking fleet expenses for vehicles, trailers, equipment, and other assets. The integration streamlines operations for Wialon partners and their clients, who use Fleetio to manage specific aspects of the fleets.

Now, Wialon can automatically send the following data to Fleetio: 

• Location
• Fuel level 
• Mileage
• Engine hours

To enable the new feature, the partner needs to activate the Fleetio service in the Wialon CMS and enter their Fleetio account credentials in the user settings. After that, a corresponding job will become available in Wialon, allowing partners to select vehicles, choose the data to transmit, and set the transmission frequency. In summary, partners can configure the feature independently to optimize their workflow.

By integrating Fleetio's specialized tools with Wialon's advanced fleet digitalization capabilities, we are enhancing the overall fleet management experience for our partners and their clients.

Tracks in mobile app

Tracks have long been an essential functionality of Wialon, allowing users to conveniently visualize vehicle movement on a map for quick analysis. Now, we’re bringing this highly popular feature to the Wialon mobile app, making it even easier for our partners’ clients to manage their fleets seamlessly while on the move. 

In short, Tracks’ robust functionality is now always within reach. Mobile users can display routes for any vehicle on a map within specific timeframes and view various events along the road, such as fuel drains or speed violations. This allows the fleet owners to analyze trip details or address issues promptly, even away from their computers. 

Interface features, such as speed-based color coding or a dynamic track player with adjustable speeds and playback controls, make it easier to grasp comprehensive information quickly. Moreover, sensor and parameter data on the route provides insights into the vehicle performance, helping ensure smooth operations.

By bringing Tracks to our app, we’re enriching the functionality for Wialon mobile-only users while enhancing the experience for those who use Wialon across various platforms.
