We’re excited to share the Wialon updates released in November 2024 — explore them to harness their full potential for more effective fleet management.
Recently, we launched the Tasks functionality, bringing all registered fleet events into a consolidated interface: users can assign tasks, leave comments, and interact with tasks in real time. This feature simplifies task management in Wialon, providing enhanced control over fleet assets while streamlining workflows for dispatchers, supervisors, and other fleet operators.
To further improve visibility and traceability, we’ve now introduced comprehensive logging features. Users can monitor all task-related actions — such as status changes, assignee updates, and more — through:
This update makes it easier to identify task modifications and review historical data, ensuring smoother oversight and more efficient task management.
Additionally, we’ve added the ability to filter tasks by a specific time range, not just by date. By selecting a "From" and "To" time, users can quickly narrow down their search and find exactly the tasks they need, even when there are thousands on the same day.
We’ve released a new Notification triggers table in reports to view all triggered notifications for a unit. This table enhances control over fleet assets, enabling users to easily review important notifications associated with their vehicles. Additionally, this feature can support Wialon partners in gathering data for client billing.
The new table is available in reports for unit and unit group elements, and a summary of total triggers is now included in the Statistics table for each unit.

We've also implemented a resource-based filter in the Notification triggers table. This feature enables users to organize notifications by resources, making it easy to identify which ones are associated with a specific resource. It also allows data to be counted separately by resource and simplifies the separation of information between accounts and users.
The Eco Driving table has been an important Wialon feature, providing users with information on how a driver handles the entrusted vehicle. Analyzing driving behavior helps fleet owners extend the life of their vehicles, reduce fuel costs and emissions, and increase cargo and driver safety.
Now, we’ve introduced the new Eco Driving table with a more efficient one-tiered structure. It focuses directly on violation intervals and can detect violations even when the vehicle is stationary. Thus, it is better suited for vehicles that don’t necessarily make trips, such as excavators or loaders, providing greater control over drivers operating them as well.
Also, we’ve added several other enhancements to make the table more functional:
The new Eco Driving table
This feature allows users to create more accurate and flexible reports tailored to the specific needs of their fleets, enhancing the reporting and analysis of violations.
To ensure a smooth transition, both versions of the Eco Driving table are temporarily available in the system, allowing users to gradually switch to the new version and provide feedback before the updated table becomes the only option in Wialon.
Fleet electrification is a growing trend worldwide, and Wialon is driving innovation to meet and exceed industry demands. This November, we rolled out EV and hybrid support in our mobile app, following the recent introduction of a sensor for battery level control in the web version.
With a battery level sensor already set up, users can now track critical EV-related information from their smartphones. On the Monitoring tab, they can check real-time battery levels in kWh, while the History tab allows them to track energy consumption for specific trips or days and view charging details such as location, time, and volume.

The Tracks functionality in mobile has also been updated for EVs, enabling users to display charging events along the route. Additionally, they can receive mobile alerts about battery charges and access reports on battery-related data.

In short, the most essential EV features already familiar to users of the web version are now available on the go — an additional benefit that our partners can proactively offer to electric fleet owners, helping them monitor operations more easily and maximize efficiency. With this update to our app, we’re taking another step toward building a comprehensive infrastructure for electric vehicles in Wialon and introducing features for effective EV management based on market demand.
In addition to introducing new features, we consistently make adjustments to keep our system reliable and up-to-date. As part of these efforts, we have discontinued support for the outdated AgroControl module in Wialon. Please note that though the solution is still active, we no longer process bug-fix requests and enable the module for new Wialon users.
Instead, we encourage our agribusiness partners to explore Wialon’s solution for smart farming. Its advanced features for managing fieldwork with telematics data enable effective planning and streamline agribusiness operations.
The Development Center is committed to keeping Wialon the best choice for fleet management, meeting the needs of our partners and their clients. To ensure you don’t miss new features and updates, please subscribe to our blog.
