Wialon-Service triumphantly got to the first place of Wialon TOP 50 Global this year. In the past year, the company connected more units to Wialon than other partners in our rating. By the way, it’s already a second victory for Wialon-Service.

Telematics services providers that connect the biggest number of units to Wialon during the last 12 months get to Wialon TOP 50 Global.

The feelings after the victory, the impact of supernatural forces on the place in the rating, life at the times of COVID-19 – we talked on these and other topics to Anatoliy Sidorov, CEO, Wialon-Service.

How does it feel to win?

We are delighted to be back in the first place of the rating! It’s great that this year our whole team could take part in the ceremony and share the emotions.

Did you expect such a result?

We stayed intrigued until the very last moment, but we knew that we had done a great deal of work and could count on the first place.

It’s not your first victory. Does it feel different this time?

Yes, we’ve already won the first place previously. Having become the winner once makes you wish to go back to the first place of the rating. Yes, it’s not so easy to do when you are among such strong competitors, but we managed to prove to ourselves that everything is possible.

What helped you win?

I think, first of all, it’s our amazing team’s accomplishment. We’ve been giving 100% for the whole year. It’s also, surely, our partners’ trust. They keep on developing their business together with us.

There’s one curious detail. If you look at the TOP 50 statistics in recent years (2015, 2016, 2018, 2019), you were in second place then. Haven’t you started to believe in magic or curses yet?

I don’t think it has something to do with the supernatural forces. Only our actions can influence the result. It means that we had some shortcomings in the past, and we tried to fix them. Now, we are counting on maintaining the first place for more than one year.

About the current projects and plans

What was the most complicated or interesting thing for your company in the past year?

Quite many interesting events happened in the past year. The number of units that we connected to Wialon exceeded 100 thousand. In September 2019, we participated in the Comtrans exhibition as a part of the Gurtam IoT zone. Thanks to this, we acquired the experience of participating in such events and launched several promising projects.

Besides, as a result of the growing number of connected units, we had to expand our team. So we searched for new talented specialists and welcomed the best of them.

What’s on the agenda now? Do you have any exciting developments or plans for new market entries?

Now, we are keeping on working on the optimization of the company’s inner processes. We are developing several projects that, in the future, will allow us to extend the list of our services for our clients, and our partners will get an opportunity for an extra profit.

We see that, in the market, there’s still a great demand for the processes automation, fine-tuning of software modules, and opening up new opportunities in the transport control. Fleet owners understand it clearly: now, tracking only mileage and fuel consumption means using just a small part of the resources available. This high-technology tendency is fascinating for us, and we’re trying to be in line with it.

How did you spend the COVID-19 period?

The pandemic has shown us one more time that clients realize the necessity of our services, especially during an unstable period. They aren’t ready to give up on their fleet control tool. Indeed, we had to adapt to remote work, but thanks to the state-of-the-art solutions, everything happened quite quickly and painlessly. Now, I can say it with confidence: you shouldn’t be afraid of using cloud services and moving your work to the internet.

How did your team go through this period?

The whole team took the situation very seriously. In the first instance, it was very unusual for us, and we had some minor technical issues. But everybody understood that the fate of the entire company depended on their actions, and tried to make more efforts than before.

Would you like to address the community as the winner?

First of all, I’d like to thank our Wialon-Service team for the work they did. I would also like to thank our partners, integrators who trust us.  The victory was earned through working together. We are also grateful to hardware manufacturers for their products that allow us to provide our clients with quality services. And, surely, a big thank you to the Gurtam team for the excellent product and professionalism.

This year, it’s 10 years since we started working together with Gurtam. During all this time, we’ve known that we provide the best solution in the transport monitoring market and will keep on doing this way. Thank you that, despite all the difficulties, you’ve arranged the award ceremony in the online format this year. It’s an opportunity for us to get an objective assessment of our work in the past year and to understand whether we move in the right direction.

Wialon Top 50 Global ceremony

I wish you and all the Wialon partners to launch new interesting projects, to succeed in their implementation, and, of course, we are looking forward to seeing you in person next year.
