At Wialon, we are dedicated to ensuring platform reliability and minimizing service disruptions. Our team continuously monitors the system, analyzes potential problems, and implements preventive measures to maintain optimal performance. As a result, we are proud to report that the absolute majority of potential issues are successfully prevented, and the system uptime specified in our SLA stays at an impressive 99.5%.
Our commitment to delivering the highest quality service includes profound transparency that defines our standard for all our partners. In line with this principle, we are introducing a new special tool to replace the previous NOC service, providing a more streamlined and informative way to stay informed about the operational status of Wialon services. You can find it at status.wialon.com.
Let's explore the benefits of status.wialon.com in more detail.
Instead of region-wide alerts, status.wialon.com now provides precise details about the specific databases affected by any service interruptions. This comes with another new addition: partners can now easily determine which database hosts their data by looking it up at my.wialon.com portal (“Server health” tab). This means partners will not receive general downtime notifications from now on, as the new tool allows for more targeted monitoring, minimizing unnecessary concerns.
The new tool conveniently displays all databases and their current statuses
The new service features three dedicated tabs:
Status: This tab provides a real-time overview of the current status of all Wialon data centers. By clicking on one of the dropdowns, partners can view the overall uptime of a data center for the past 90 days, along with a complete list of associated databases and their current statuses. The extended view also displays hosting.wialon.com availability status, API access, and the ability to receive incoming data from devices.
Maintenance: This tab displays detailed information about planned or past maintenance work to keep partners updated. Clicking on the maintenance notification card reveals a list of affected services and messages from the team.
Previous incidents: This tab contains a comprehensive log of past incidents starting from August 2024, each with a dedicated incident card providing information about the services affected and actions performed by the team.
This simple and straightforward layout ensures easy and quick access to all the essential information about Wialon server performance.
The new tool aims to improve user experience by providing a centralized hub for detailed insights into system health and any planned maintenance works. It operates independently from the Wialon platform, guaranteeing access to server health information even during rare and unlikely cases of system unavailability.
The old NOC webpage will now redirect to https://status.wialon.com/. We believe status.wialon.com will offer a more efficient and informative way to keep you updated on the operational status of Wialon services.
