Wialon at GITEX Africa and Securex 2024: from debut to tradition

In May and June, the Wialon team participated in two major tech and security exhibitions in Africa: GITEX Africa and Securex 2024.

GITEX Africa in Morocco was our first time attending, while Securex in South Africa is an event we've been part of for years. Both fairs are crucial for connecting with our fellow industry experts across the continent. These events provided an excellent platform to engage with our partners in the region and beyond and introduce Wialon to telematics service providers interested in fleet digitalization in Africa.

Wialon’s dynamic debut at GITEX Africa 2024

GITEX Africa is an ambitious tech and startup exhibition held in Morocco. This annual event focuses on driving technological advancements across various industries, such as robotics, digital health, future finance, consumer tech, and telecoms.

This May, the purpose-built mega venue in the heart of Marrakech boasted 21 halls and featured an impressive scale of 1,400 international companies.

Wialon marked its debut appearance at GITEX Africa 2024, and it was already a resounding success with great potential. The three-day event attracted our partners from Morocco and neighboring countries, who traveled to Marrakech to meet with the Wialon team in person. Telematics service providers and hardware manufacturers shared valuable market insights, and we were glad to discuss further collaboration.

All in all, the tech expo offered a prime opportunity to strengthen existing connections and create new ones by introducing our fleet management solution to expo attendees and showcasing the latest updates and their value for businesses.

Securex 2024: a continued success for Wialon

In Africa, security issues are one of the critical reasons for the growing interest in fleet management and digitalization, and Wialon has a lot to offer to tackle these challenges. This brings us to Securex, the region's leading exhibition and conference for the security, fire, and safety industries. If you've been following Wialon for some time, you already know we regularly attend this event with great success, and 2024 was no exception.

Held this June, the event in Johannesburg attracted thousands of visitors. For Wialon, it was three busy days filled with product presentations, meetings, and insightful conversations. It provided an excellent opportunity for high-quality industry networking, with many global fleet management and telematics companies in attendance. The Wialon team was also excited to meet our technology partners and local companies specializing in video telematics.
