Unlocking full power of connectivity: Wialon at MWC Barcelona 2022

February 28 turned out to be both the end of winter and the beginning of a major event in the world of connectivity. Mobile World Congress Barcelona 2022 gathered over 1,900 exhibitors and 61,000 visitors from all over the world at its usual venue, Fira Gran Via in Barcelona, Spain.

MWC Barcelona is the largest event in the connectivity and mobile communications industry, bringing together the latest innovations and cutting-edge technologies, such as 5G, AI, and сloud services. It is also a great place for networking opportunities with mobile and tech-industry influencers.

The exhibitor list in 2022 included a broad spectrum of companies, from industry giants, such as AWS, Oracle, and Orange, to start-ups.

The Wialon team came to the grand event to represent fleet management and IoT. And this year, we put it to the next level, just like we did at CES 2022. It was the first time that Gurtam participated in the show with a booth introducing Wialon in a spacious, visitor-friendly environment.

Visitors from all over the world – from India to Kenya, from Ecuador to Australia – came over to learn more about Wialon and the opportunities it brings. Also, our partners shared with us their vision of the Spanish telematics market. Many of them pointed out that customers today ask for more complex custom solutions rather than basic GPS tracking. The range of business areas with a high potential in the region embrace:

• long-haul transportation, both within country and internationally;
• local deliveries, including food delivery;
• car rental;
• public utilities, including waste management;
• field workers monitoring.
