Earlier this year, we announced an event as exciting as it was unexpected: Wialon Challenge Dakar 2026, set to take place in the heart of Saudi Arabia’s desert. Soon, a selected team of Wialon partners will embark on a breathtaking journey alongside the legendary Dakar rally — a vivid example of how being part of our community opens doors to truly unique experiences! These adventurers will spend a week tackling a series of survival challenges, visiting the legendary Dakar bivouac, and crossing paths with motorsport’s biggest stars — all arranged and covered by Wialon.

Although the full route and task list will stay under wraps until the crew arrives in Saudi Arabia, one thing is certain: the participants are sure to make their LinkedIn followers jealous. But who are these brave souls, ready to take on unexpected off-road challenges, experience the true spirit of teamwork, and dive into the thrill of a once-in-a-lifetime adventure? Read the article to find out!

The community contest: Congratulations to the winners!

Our desert crew composition is as follows: 4 Wialon team members + 12 Wialon partners. 9 out of these 12 spots on the team were given to representatives from Wialon partner companies with Gold status, while the other 3 were determined through a special community contest.

Launched shortly after the Wialon Challenge Dakar announcement, the contest was available to all Wialon partners regardless of partner status. Contestants could earn points by taking part in various community activities from April to September

If you’d like to revisit the rules and conditions, check out our announcement article here.

We were absolutely thrilled to see so many Wialon community members actively taking part in the competition. The contest brought about many valuable results for the participants — they held knowledge-sharing sessions, engaged in active community discussions, enhanced their social media visibility, and expanded their professional networks. Overall, during the 5 months of the contest, we’ve had 1,463 activities submitted by 94 contestants

This all came to its final point at the Wialon community reunion in Dubai on October 12, where 3 names were drawn from the lottery drum.

Let’s congratulate the future desert racers together:

  1. Carla Greyling from Tracking Africa

  2. Peter Chalhoub from MaliaTec

  3. Edgar Zamora from Geologistic

With these 3 names added to our adventurers list, we’re happy to announce that the desert crew for the Wialon Challenge Dakar 2026 is now complete. Please find the full list below:

Although not part of the competing teams, another two Wialon representatives will join the crew to handle on-site organizational matters:

  • Anastasiya Eroho, VP of Marketing, Wialon

  • Aliaksandr Kuushynau, Head of Wialon

“Huge congratulations to everyone on the list — you’ll be able to say that your 2026 starts with a rally adventure in the heart of the desert. Can anything be cooler than that?

And of course, we want to thank all the contest participants. It was great to see such enthusiasm and engagement from the community. Even if luck wasn’t on your side this time, there will be plenty more exciting opportunities ahead. This isn’t the first time we’ve pushed our limits, and we certainly do not plan on stopping being adventurous and daring any time soon.”
