Gurtam has once again been recognized as one of the largest providers of fleet management solutions in Latin America. The latest confirmation comes from a June 2026 report by Berg Insight, an IoT market research firm.
This recognition is another milestone in a much longer story: Wialon has worked in the region since the late 2000s, growing partnerships and strengthening our position year after year. We're here for the long run, and there's more road ahead.
Latin America: The market on the move
According to Berg Insight, the number of commercial vehicles connected to fleet management systems in Latin America reached 10 million at the end of 2025 and is expected to exceed 20 million by 2030.
The number of connected vehicles in Latin America could more than double over the next 5 years
Demand across the region is driven by practical reasons:
-
Security concerns
-
Regulatory requirements
-
Growing pressure on businesses to improve operational efficiency and cut costs
At the same time, Latin America's market remains fragmented, with major global players, local technology companies, white-label platform providers, and commercial vehicle OEMs competing for the same clients and opportunities.
Wialon in Latin America, by the numbers and by the stories
Wialon is effectively addressing the challenges fleets are facing in Latin America — and the numbers are doing the talking: more than 900,000 vehicles across the region are now connected to the solution.
To see what that scale means in practice, look at the projects delivered by local partners:
-
Preventing cargo and fuel theft in Peru — $200,000 saved in the first month
-
Managing dairy cold chains in Mexico — 200 milk trucks and 40% lower fuel consumption
-
Reducing tanker accidents in Honduras — AI cameras, driver scoring, and no incidents
-
Tracking bus passengers in Colombia — RFID-powered and fully automated project
“Wialon's success in Latin America comes down to fit: a product lineup built to match the region's range of needs. Wialon Lite is a good example. It gives service providers a simple, cost-effective way to offer core fleet management features without unnecessary complexity. We’ve seen strong interest from partners looking to expand their offering for this segment.
At the same time, fleets across Latin America vary widely. Some need a solution that’s ready to scale across thousands of vehicles. Others need to keep everything on their own infrastructure. Or a partner wants to build a fully branded application around a specific business case. That’s why our portfolio includes Wialon Lite, Wialon Hosting, Wialon Local, and Wialon Platform. Together, they give local partners the flexibility to choose the product that fits the best.
Wialon solutions are backed by integrations with thousands of device models and free 24/7 technical support in 5 languages, including Spanish and Portuguese. Additionally, we have a large team based in Latin America to stay close to local partners and the market.
We constantly keep pushing the products forward. The industry's first dedicated ChatGPT app lets users ask questions about fleet data in plain language and get answers in seconds. WhatsApp notifications are another recent addition — a highly requested update in Latin America, where operators already use this messenger every day.”
— Darya Chumak, Head of Partner Success at Wialon
And, of course, we keep showing up: returning to key industry expos every year and creating memorable gatherings for Wialon partners across the region.
Just about a month ago, our team spent a week in Brazil, hosting our biggest Wialon community event in the country to date and joining Exposec with the Wialon fleet management hub.
Our partner event in São Paulo welcomed 110 attendees
For Wialon, Brazil is the 3rd-largest market in Latin America, with almost 60,000 connected vehicles. The local community has grown into a strong, established network, and 1 partner reached a milestone that deserves a spotlight of its own: Segsat Tecnologia became the 1st Wialon partner in Brazil to achieve Gold partner status.
Segsat Tecnologia started working with Wialon in 2020, with around 100 connected vehicles

And there is more on our Latin America calendar this year: on August 26–28, Wialon will join ESS+, a major security exhibition in Bogotá, Colombia. Wialon partners are also invited to a dinner on August 27.
Different events, different countries — but the same goal behind all of them: helping our partners deliver stronger fleet solutions across Latin America.
“This region continues to be one of the fastest-growing for fleet digitalization, and this recognition from Berg Insight confirms the trust that both local fleets and service providers place in Wialon. Reaching more than 900,000 connected vehicles is a milestone that reflects not just market demand but the strength of our partner community. Whether it's improving cargo and people safety, reducing costs, or driving productivity, our partners are delivering measurable results to fleets every day.”
— Aliaksandr Kuushynau, Head of Wialon
