Wialon Hosting continues to evolve based on how fleets actually operate in real projects — and what they'll need next.
The first quarter of 2026 brought a focused set of improvements across notification logic, reporting, video management, and more. Some changes refine everyday workflows for fleets; others give telematics service providers more flexibility in managing complex solutions.
To help you navigate the updates, the most impactful ones are marked with ✽. Feel free to start there and circle back to the rest when you have time.
Let’s take a closer look.
✽ A smarter way to build notifications: More control, less complexity
Notifications are moving away from fixed templates to a flexible system — helping teams build more effective alerts for real fleet operations.
Users can now combine up to 3 conditions using AND and OR logic, choosing from 17 combinable building blocks, including fuel events, sensor data, location, and connectivity.
For example, in cold chain logistics, a notification can be triggered when the temperature exceeds 5°C while the vehicle is either in motion or outside a designated zone — helping detect cooling issues early and prevent spoilage of temperature-sensitive goods.
In a nutshell, scenarios that previously required workarounds can now be configured directly, in a clean full-screen interface with clearer naming and built-in validation.

Reporting improvements
In Q1, we continued improving reporting to help users get meaningful insights faster and more easily.
✽ Reference the previous row value in custom columns
Custom columns in Reports have become more advanced. Previously, formulas could only use current data — now, with the # symbol, users can reference the value from the previous row of any column directly in the formula.
This makes it possible to:
- Calculate the difference between the current and previous values
- Build custom performance or efficiency metrics
- Create formulas that depend on sequential data
For example, it allows calculating fuel consumption or mileage since the previous fuel filling — without the need to export the report to Excel.
Reorder columns in the Statistics table
Custom columns added through the calculator previously defaulted to the top of the Statistics table and couldn't be moved. That's fixed — all columns can now be dragged to any position, just like in other tables. The change speeds up analysis and makes it more intuitive.
✽ Video management: Fewer clicks, more clarity
Managing fleet video at scale means dealing with large file volumes and navigating them efficiently to find the right footage quickly. Our Q1 updates focused on making both easier.
A more informative Video tab
We updated the Video tab to give dispatchers a clearer view of what’s happening with video files across the fleet.
The unit list now shows more key information at a glance: each unit section includes its online or offline status, counters for successful and failed uploads, and the assigned driver's name.
In the file list, a new summary block displays the total number of uploaded files and failed uploads, while a dedicated Failed uploads filter helps quickly focus on errors that require attention.
Faster handling of video upload errors
Video upload errors can occasionally occur for various reasons, from connectivity to device issues. To make them easier to resolve, we’ve added new bulk actions in the Files tab. Instead of processing errors one by one, users can select multiple file groups and handle them in a single step.
- Bulk Retry attempts to upload files again for all selected groups where the footage is still available on the device.
- Bulk Skip removes failed upload statuses to keep the list clear and easier to navigate.
Save time with new bulk actions to retry or skip multiple failed uploads at once
Mixed selections work too: successful and failed file groups can be selected at the same time, and actions are applied only where they make sense.
More precise control over video access
We added new access rights for video features to make permission setup cleaner to configure and easier to maintain.
- View video — allows access to the video player, live stream, and playback.
- Manage video — includes all viewing permissions and additionally allows file management and access to video settings.
Better unit activation code management
Last year, we introduced a billing model based on unit activation codes — and we’ve continued to improve it, giving Wialon partners and their clients greater control and visibility. All updates are available in CMS Manager.
Advance notifications before code expiration
Service providers can now set up notifications that send in advance of a code expiring — with control over recipients, message content, and when the alert is sent. Each notification links directly to the Units tab, making it easy to find affected vehicles and take action.
More visibility in the Units tab
2 new columns — Code and Deactivates on — show which units have activation codes assigned and when those units are scheduled to deactivate. Search by activation code is also available, helping users quickly locate specific vehicles.
Expiration date filtering
In the Activation codes tab, codes can now be filtered by their calculated expiration date. Selecting a time range shows all codes that expire within that period, making it easier to plan renewals and avoid service interruptions.
Export to .xlsx
The Activation Codes tab now supports export to Excel, consistent with other CMS tabs — useful for further analysis, record-keeping, or sharing with other users.
Twilio integration update
Last year, we introduced integration with Twilio, a cloud communications platform, enabling users to send SMS via API. In Q1 2026, this integration expands further. Teams can now receive SMS replies through Twilio directly in Wialon. This completes the SMS workflow when working with Twilio, allowing inbound and outbound messages to be handled consistently from the same number and within a single system.
Mobile app
The mobile app continues to evolve, making everyday tasks faster and more convenient on the go.
✽ Area measurement tool
The new Area tool in the Tracks tab lets users measure the size and perimeter of territories directly on the map — useful for agricultural operations or any field work that requires quick territory assessment.
✽ Bing Maps support
Bing Maps is now available as a map layer in the mobile app, adding yet another map layer option.
Video tab moves to unit details
We’ve moved the Video tab from the navigation bar to unit details. This makes it easier to access video and improves overall navigation in the mobile app.
That covers the main Wialon Hosting updates for Q1 2026 — but before we wrap up, one more important change across the Wialon product suite is worth noting.
LeaseControl is now Wialon Lite
LeaseControl is being rebranded as Wialon Lite — a name that better reflects what the product already is in practice: a lightweight, easy-to-deploy solution for core fleet management, without unnecessary complexity.
Apart from the name, everything else stays the same — the features and user experience Wialon partners already rely on. It remains the practical choice for small and medium-sized fleets, local delivery and service operations, basic asset tracking, and vehicle leasing or financing.
What’s next
A separate article is coming soon, covering Q1 updates in Wialon Platform — the newest product in the Wialon suite and a powerful solution builder for fleet digitalization. Early preview: improved private mode management, more flexible analytics, and workspace configuration tools designed to speed up setup and scaling.
You can also explore these — and upcoming updates — in the new section of the Wialon Help Center, which now includes a sneak peek of features currently in development.
We hope these updates help you work in Wialon with more clarity and control.
