History in the making: 4 million vehicles connected to Wialon!

In July 2024, the Wialon partner community reached an extraordinary milestone: 4 million vehicles are now active on the platform. We want to extend special congratulations to our partner, GotYou Telematics from South Africa, for registering the landmark 4 millionth vehicle. At the same time, we are incredibly grateful to every member of our remarkable community. Each of those vehicles is a small step to our shared business success, but together, they are one giant leap for the Wialon partner community. Fleet digitalization improves operations and ultimately creates a smarter, safer, and more sustainable future for transportation. Thank you all for bringing this future closer!

How much is 4 million?

To truly grasp this colossal achievement, let’s take a moment to contemplate this:

• If you were to climb 4 million stairs, it would be equivalent to climbing Mount Everest about 80 times.
• If you were to read 4 million pages at one page per minute, it would take you roughly 7.6 years of non-stop reading.
• If you were to count from one to 4 million at one number per second, it would take more than 46 days.
• If you were to line up 4 million semi-trucks with trailers end-to-end, the distance would be approximately 22% of the way from Earth to the Moon.
• It would take over 39 days for your heart to beat 4 million times.

Impressive, right? Here’s one more exciting fact, and it's about the global Wialon Run Challenge. If we asked a typical runner to run 1 hour a day, it would take him 400 days to cover the required 4 million meters — or 4,000 km (imagine how sore his muscles would be!). But this year, our Wialon community reached the same distance in just 44 days, and we enjoyed every moment of our journey together. What a fantastic way to celebrate our achievements and demonstrate that together, we are unstoppable.

Meet a milestone partner

It‘s exciting to know that GotYou Telematics, the company behind this incredible 4 million-vehicle connection, has been with Wialon since 2017.

GotYou Telematics is headquartered in South Africa. Focusing on security, they help clients across various industries manage and protect their transport and assets. Regular in-person meetings at major African exhibitions highlight our strong partnership.

To mark the registration of the 4 millionth vehicle on our platform, the Wialon team will present GotYou Telematics with "Baltic Bonsai," a unique artwork created by the renowned Lithuanian conceptual artist Saulius Vaitiekūnas. It symbolizes growth, care, and flourishing — just like our partnership.

The light pattern on the dark basalt sphere represents fleet management and IoT attributes. The number '4,000,000' engraved on the silver stand will serve as a reminder of this shared achievement in the history of Wialon and GotYou Telematics.
