What’s new in Wialon Hosting in Q2 2026

Wialon Hosting continues to evolve, making complex fleet operations easier to understand, configure, and manage.

Your fleet, now inside ChatGPT 

We’ve already shared this update, but it’s worth highlighting again: Wialon became the 1st fleet management platform with a native app inside ChatGPT.

Fleet managers can ask questions about vehicle status, trips, fuel activity, notifications, and drivers in plain language — and receive answers without opening a dashboard or building a report.

The app is designed to adapt to any workflow, easily handling everything from a five-second status check on the road to comprehensive summaries of a fleet's performance

Customizable tab order 

Dispatchers, fleet managers, and other team members rely on different Wialon Hosting tabs throughout the day. For one user, Monitoring and Notifications may be essential. For another, Reports may be the main workspace. 

Users can now reorder the tabs in the main menu to match their own workflow by simply dragging the tabs into the preferred order in the Customize the menu dropdown. 

The selected layout is saved for each user and remains in place between sessions

Configurable Total and grouping rows in reports

Report tables now offer more flexibility when working with Total and Grouping rows. 

Previously, these rows were calculated using fixed aggregation rules that didn't always match operational needs. Now, aggregation can be configured individually for each column directly in the table settings. 

Depending on the column type, users can choose how values should be calculated in Total and Grouping rows by selecting a grouping value for each column — including Sum, Average, Min, Max, and other options.

Default aggregation settings remain unchanged, so existing tables and reports continue to work exactly as before. 

The update is currently available for the Sensor tracing, Trips, and Fuel fillings & battery charges tables, with support for additional report tables coming next. It gives fleet analysts more control over the final result directly in Wialon, reducing the need to export data just to recalculate totals elsewhere. 

Wialon mobile app: Quick interval presets 

When checking a trip, sensor value, or report, dispatchers often need one of the same recurring periods: today, yesterday, last week, or last month. 

The Wialon mobile app now provides these quick interval buttons across the Tracks, Reports, Video, History, and Sensors screens — meaning fewer taps to get to the window a user actually needs. 

More control over activation codes 

Last year, we introduced a billing model based on unit activation codes. It allows Wialon partners to activate units for a set period, after which they are deactivated automatically. This is especially useful for partners with their own dealer networks or short-term and seasonal projects, including agricultural work, fleet rentals, sporting events, and construction projects.

We’ve kept building on the model since then. Here’s what’s new.

A dedicated activation code report

When activation codes are used across a dealer network, partners need to see not only which codes are currently in use, but also what happened to them in the past. This helps with billing and makes the codes easier to manage day to day.

A new report in CMS Manager now provides that history. It shows when codes were assigned, transferred between vehicles, left unassigned, or expired. Partners can also see how long each code remains valid and filter the data to find what they need.

The report can also be exported to Excel for further analysis or sharing

Activation during CSV/XLSX import

Activation codes can now be added to the Units import template. As a result, users can create and activate multiple vehicles in a single CSV or XLSX import instead of importing the vehicles first and assigning codes later.

For larger projects, this removes an extra configuration step and helps fleets get connected faster. 

WASL support expands to light transport

This update is relevant to telematics service providers operating in Saudi Arabia and working with WASL, the kingdom's official transport monitoring platform.

Wialon Hosting now supports the light transport activity in the WASL integration. Users can register or update light commercial vehicles individually or in bulk and submit the required tracking device details — the telecom provider, SIM number, device brand and model, and sensor settings. The vehicle fields and import logic follow the same structure as the Default activity.

For Wialon partners, this update opens the door to more government-regulated projects in Saudi Arabia without adding a separate setup process.
