We’re excited to share the latest Wialon updates from the first quarter of 2025. This article highlights key improvements to Health check functionality, UI enhancements, and new capabilities for the Wialon AI Assistant — all designed to make your experience with Wialon smoother and more efficient.
Last year, Wialon introduced the Health check functionality for proactive hardware maintenance. This initial release empowered service providers and fleet owners to gain real-time insights into device status, detect anomalies early, and reduce costly downtime.
Our partners have provided highly positive feedback, which has motivated us to enhance the tool further, making it more flexible, insightful, and efficient.
Users can now customize key monitoring parameters by defining values for most criteria. This includes adjusting voltage thresholds (e.g., 24V for trucks), setting battery charge levels, and modifying message frequency.

With a more adaptable parameter setup, the Health check feature provides greater flexibility for diverse fleets and ensures our partners get hardware insights tailored to their specific needs.
Incident information is no longer limited to the Dashboard. A comprehensive history of all recorded device incidents for each vehicle, with key details such as incident start and end times, violated conditions, and device health check status, is now available in the Reports tab.
A new Health check incidents table in Reports provides a complete incident history
With this report, users can track and analyze device performance more effectively. Access to historical data helps identify long-term trends and patterns, which are valuable for maintenance planning.
We have introduced a new notification type that alerts users in real time whenever a device’s health check status changes — for example, from “Healthy” to “Need attention.” It allows quick responses to potential issues, ensuring greater operational reliability and efficiency for service providers and fleet operators.
Additionally, an optional incident-based triggering setting allows users to receive notifications for each new incident, even if the unit status remains unchanged. For example, if a unit is monitored by multiple criteria and one triggers a change from “Healthy” to “Need attention”, the system sends a notification. If another issue occurs while the status remains the same, it will trigger a new notification.

Our Product Development team continually refines Wialon’s interface to make it more intuitive and efficient. Here are the latest significant updates across web and mobile.
We’ve simplified Wialon’s video UI by merging the Live, Files, and Playback tabs into a single interface. Instead of switching between tabs to select the same vehicle for different tasks, users can now watch live streams, download video files, and review footage — all from one place.
Users can now access live streams, files, and recorded video playback without switching tabs or repeating searches
This update saves time and improves efficiency, especially for multi-vehicle monitoring, real-time operations, and report preparation that requires data from multiple sources.
While the interface is now more convenient, all existing video functionality remains unchanged.

We’ve refined the Geofences tab to make it visually consistent with the Monitoring tab and improved the Geofence creation/editing form.
The updated Geofences tab interface
While the interface has been changed, all functionality remains the same, so users can continue working with geofences as before. However, this update also allowed us to improve the code base to support future enhancements.
We’ve made navigation improvements to the Wialon mobile app to make it simpler and more intuitive.
The Monitoring and Map tabs have been merged into a single Monitoring tab, giving users the flexibility to configure various screen setups. By dragging the information section up, users can view vehicle details; dragging it down shows the map. This makes it easy to switch between the unit information and the map within the same tab or access location and telemetry data from one screen.
The updated Monitoring tab also includes a new Summary section, where users can check key fleet status information.

The app includes helpful hints to guide users through the interface to ensure a smooth transition.
Last year, we introduced the Wialon AI Assistant to provide quick guidance within the Wialon help center. This tool lets Wialon users get familiar with the platform effectively, saving valuable time with instant answers.
Now, the Wialon AI Assistant can do even more. It assists software developers by answering questions about Wialon’s open API and SDK, making it easier to integrate Wialon with other systems and create custom applications.
The AI Assistant is still available in the help center as before. Simply click the “AI Assistant” pop-up in the bottom-right corner, type a question, and receive a quick response.
Wialon AI Assistant can now answer questions about Wialon features and make it easier to integrate with other systems or build custom applications
While the AI Assistant has been rigorously tested, occasional minor inaccuracies may still occur, as with any AI system. We encourage users to verify critical information and follow standard best practices when using AI-driven tools. Your ratings and feedback on the Wialon AI Assistant’s responses help us improve its accuracy and effectiveness.
